Little Apple Clouds

I love to bake these apple clouds because you don’t need a lot of ingredients and they are done within a few minutes – and anyone with a baby knows how little time you have. In just a few minutes, you’ve whipped up a delicious snack and you know what’s in it (no artificial sugar or other additives). My baby and I both love snacking on them! Instead of apple sauce, you can also use other fruits or baby puree leftovers!

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened (50g)
  • 1 cup spelt flour (125 g)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ cup apple sauce (130g)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  3. Beat the egg and butter in a bowl with an electric mixer until foamy.
  4. Stir in the applesauce. Add flour and baking powder and mix everything quickly into a dough.
  5. Using a moistened spoon, place the dough in batches (little clouds) on the baking sheet and bake for about 12-14 minutes.
Instead of apple sauce, you can also use other fruits or baby puree leftovers, e.g. pear & plum puree.
